How to Get Glowing Skin For Your Wedding Day

Bridal Skincare Tips

Wedding season is almost upon us! If you are a beaming bride wanting to look your best, we have everything you need to make sure you are extra confident and radiant on your special day! This blog (or video if you prefer) will break down exactly how to get glowing skin before your wedding day.

Below, you'll find a guide on products and services as well as tips on how to prepare your skin to be in the spotlight. We are so excited to embark on this journey with you!

Basic Skincare

At-home skincare is the most essential way to get glowing skin before your wedding day! No matter your skin type, we have products that are sure to make you look as good as you feel. Every good skincare routine should include, at a minimum, cleanser and moisturizer. Once you have established those, you can look to incorporate other products depending on what you would like to achieve.

Tip: Make sure you aren't changing your skincare routine too much at one time! Easing products in one at a time will cause less stress on your skin and decrease the likelihood of any irritation or imbalance.

One of our favorite skincare tips is double cleansing. While the first cleanse is to remove any remaining residue on the surface, the second cleanse should target your specific skin concerns. We recommend using the Cleansing Balm as your first cleanse. It is an emollient wax-based cleanser that melts away stubborn makeup and oil without leaving your skin feeling dry!

For your second cleanse, choose the Cleansing Cream if you have dry skin or Cleansing Gel if your skin is more oily. When it comes to moisturizer, our Soothing Cream works wonders for dry skin while our Clarifying Cream is the perfect fit for oily skin.

Taking Your Routine to the Next Level

Once you establish a cleanser and moisturizer, it’s time to add the right serum and face mask to your routine! Incorporating the right nutrients is key to get glowing skin before your wedding day. We offer several serums and masks to ensure you find what works best for you.

Masks are a boost that deeply infuse vital ingredients. Our Brightening Mask is great for dull skin and clogged pores, and our Soothing Enzyme Mask is perfect for dry, irritated skin! Using a mask at least once a week will help clear congestion and prime the skin to soak up your serum and moisturizer.

For serums, we also have three options. Our Retinol Oil can prevent and reduce signs of aging and skin texture while still hydrating your skin. Vitamin C Oil brightens skin, reduces dark spots, and protects against free-radical damage. If you feel like your skin is just craving hydration, the Antioxidant Oil is your best bet! This rich blend of jojoba oil, seabuckthorn oil, rosehip oil, and squalene is sure to seal in moisture. Pro Tip: We can add Blue Tansy essential oil into any of our oil-based products! If you have oily/acne-prone skin, dry skin, redness, or inflammation, this powerhouse ingredient will regulate oil production and soothe your skin!

The Best Spa Treatments Before Your Big Day

If you have a skincare routine but are still wondering how to get glowing skin before your wedding day, start getting regular facials! Our estheticians recommend coming about once a month, ideally beginning at least 12 months before the wedding, depending on your skin's needs. The sooner you start, the better your skin will look on your wedding day! We offer several different options for facial services.

At Dandle Spa, we specialize in relaxing and results-driven organic facials designed to support healthy, glowing skin. Our licensed estheticians customize every facial using clean, non-toxic skincare and professional treatments to address concerns like acne, aging, dryness, and uneven tone.

We have several options for facials so that you can pick what best suits your needs. For those who are looking to maintain healthy skin with little to no problem areas, we recommend the Signature Facial. In this facial, we use our own skincare line and focus on melting away any wedding-planning stress. If you have any concerns you want to address, we recommend our Organic Clinical Facial.

The Organic Clinical Facial provides immediate results that will improve with each visit. In this service, our estheticians use skincare from Elina Organics, a line that boasts its natural ingredients and high quality. Don't forget to include add-ons such as LED Light Therapy or an Enzymatic Peel to boost results. No matter what you’re looking for, we are sure our estheticians can work with you to find the best fit.

Spa Day Upgrades

On top of having the best facials, we also offer even more services to help you look your best and get glowing skin before your wedding day. For our facials, you can select from a number of add-ons to enhance your service. Dermaplaning is our favorite for brightening and exfoliating (plus it removes peach fuzz to make makeup application a breeze). If you’re holding tension, a face, sinus, or scalp massage will work it out. For those struggling with inflammation, our jelly mask or ice globe massage are both fantastic at calming your skin and your mind.

A great way to frame your beautiful skin on your big day is to make your brows and lashes pop! Our estheticians also do lash and brow tinting, lash lifts, and brow waxing (as well as chin and lip waxing) and love to help you look as good as you feel. We offer deals when you combine the lash lift and tint or the brow wax and tint because those are always best when you do them together. These services are a quick and easy glow-up, and the results are so fun!

Beauty Comes from Within (Your Gut)

We know that beauty starts with how you feel, but here we want to talk about how your diet affects your skin! Your skin reflects what you eat and drink, so we have some tips on how to get glowing skin before your wedding day through more than just skincare.

One key is to limit sugar and simple carb intake. I know this may be a challenge between the wedding cake tastings, bridal shower, bachelorette party, etc. Try to only splurge on those occasions (if you must splurge, but we aren’t here to judge), and keep simple food in check the rest of the time. In its place, boost your fruit and veggie intake; your gut loves complex, natural foods, which means your skin loves them, too! Fruits and vegetables are full of vitamins and minerals that keep your skin healthy and radiant. Also, if we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times, but drink plenty of water! Besides the many other functions for which your body requires water, hydration is also important to your skin looking plump and fresh. Your skin can’t stay hydrated if your body isn’t.

Let Your Skin Feel the Love, Too!

Your wedding is potentially one of the biggest days of your life that you’ll want to remember for years to come. Looking back at photos of yourself should feel like a blessing, but for many, that may not be the case. We are here to help address your skin concerns, yes, but more importantly, we want to help you see the beauty already there. In this special season celebrating love, you should extend that love to every part of you, even the parts you consider flaws.

This is a lot of information to take in (this is me trying to make it digestible, too..), so don’t hesitate to reach out with questions! Our estheticians love to help clients prepare for their special days, whether you need skincare advice or just a good yap session about wedding planning woes during your facial. If you’re ready to come in for a consultation and facial, book here, give us a call, or just stop by! We would love to support you on your journey to the altar, and we know we have all the tools you need to feel like the most beautiful bride.
